About this session

How does a college develop an OER community without existing support structures? Professors Jason Southworth and Danielle Campbell will discuss how a collaborative OER project led to the development of an OER Community of Practice at Palm Beach State College. The presentation will help participants chart a course for developing a support system for Open Education, turning grassroots level advocacy into an established community. The discussion will include strategies to communicate and collaborate with identified stakeholders to expand OER use and adoption. Participants will be invited to discuss their own strategies for promoting Open Education at their institution, including what worked and what didn’t.
