FL-SARA WORKSHOP WEBCAST series
I. The first FL-SARA (Florida-State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement) Webcast is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, September 26.
Morgan Champion will provide “an overview of the legislation that passed regarding Postsecondary Reciprocal Distance Education as well as provide a timeline for implementation. Participants will hear a brief overview of NC-SARA (National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement) with the focus of the presentation remaining on the application process for institutions to participate in FL-SARA. The NC-SARA Institutional application will be reviewed and supporting documentation required for submission will be covered in detail. Attendees will be given the opportunity to ask questions and will also be provided with the presentation, application, and other important documents available for download.”

During the Navigating State Authorization webinar, national speakers will cover the basics of state authorization and discuss important issues relating to professional licensure requirements. Individuals will hear some tips for tracking your students and learn about the data reporting requirements for participating SARA institutions. Pending and existing federal regulations will be discussed and attendees will gain an overall understanding of what these regulations will require of their institution(s). There will be a time period for questions and an opportunity for further discussion with the speakers.

III. Implementing SARA at Your Institution Webcast is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. EDT on Friday, October 13.

During the “Implementing SARA at your Institution” webinar, participants will hear from institutional representatives who have implemented SARA at their school in another SARA member state. Discussion will focus on state authorization compliance before and after SARA, implementation challenges and successes, and best practice tips to share with Florida institutions who are new to SARA. Details will be shared related to student notifications and data reporting processes. The presentation will be recorded and available for download.
