Dr. Nancy McKee serves as staff to the Board of Governors Innovation and Online Committee and is responsible for strategically planning, directing, and coordinating initiatives related to online education and innovative approaches to higher education.
Dr. McKee has extensive experience in higher education policy. Before joining the Chancellor's staff in 2003, she was Chief Policy Coordinator for the Council for Education Policy, Research and Improvement. Previously, she worked for the Florida Legislature as Chief Legislative Analyst for the Senate Committee on Fiscal Policy and the House and Senate Committees on Appropriations. She also served as head of the Governor's Education Policy Unit in the Office of Planning and Budgeting and as a budgeting coordinator with the former Board of Regents.
A native of Mississippi, Dr. McKee holds a bachelor's degree from Mississippi University for Women, a Master's degree from the University of Mississippi, and an advanced Master's and Ph.D. from Florida State University.
Elijah is the Executive Director for the Florida Academic Library Services Cooperative (FALSC), based in the Tallahassee office of the Florida Virtual Campus. Prior to joining FALSC in 2016, Elijah was the Dean for Libraries, College Testing, and Curriculum Innovation at Georgia Highlands College. Elijah has worked in college and university libraries for over 20 years, including positions in technical services, cataloging, and reference and instruction. Throughout the course of his career, Elijah has placed an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and staff. Elijah holds degrees from Cumberland College (B.A.), the University of Tennessee (M.S.), Georgia College & State University (M.A.), and the University of Georgia (Ed.S).
