Dr. Nancy McKee
Associate Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Online Education

Dr. Nancy McKee is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Online Education for the Board of Governors of the State University System. She is responsible for strategically planning, directing, and coordinating initiatives related to online education and innovative approaches to higher education. A primary focus of her position is to coordinate the system-wide implementation of the 2025 Strategic Plan for Online Education that was adopted by the Board in 2015.
Dr. McKee has extensive experience in higher education policy. Before joining the Chancellor's staff in 2003, she was Chief Policy Coordinator for the Council for Education Policy, Research and Improvement. Previously, she worked for the Florida Legislature as Chief Legislative Analyst for the Senate Committee on Fiscal Policy and the House and Senate Committees on Appropriations. She also served as head of the Governor's Education Policy Unit in the Office of Planning and Budgeting and as a budgeting coordinator with the former Board of Regents.
A native of Mississippi, Dr. McKee holds a bachelor's degree from Mississippi University for Women, a Master's degree from the University of Mississippi, and an advanced Master's and Ph.D. from Florida State University.
