Dr. Jon Rogers
Associate Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Online Education
Florida Board of Governors
Dr. Jon Rogers currently serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Online Education for the Florida Board of Governors and coordinates the ongoing implementation of the Board of Governors 2025 Strategic Plan for Online Education that was adopted in 2015.
Dr. Rogers has an extensive career in higher education leadership positions at the state level and university level. He has worked in student services administrative and counseling positions at East Carolina University and at the University of West Georgia. At the state level, Dr. Rogers served as policy analyst, program planner, and researcher for three education citizen boards in Florida, including the Postsecondary Education Planning Commission, the Council on Education Policy, Research & Improvement and, most recently, as a director of academic and student affairs for the Board of Governors of the State University System.
Dr. Rogers received a PhD in Higher Education Administration from Florida State University. He earned a master’s degree in Counseling and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from East Carolina University.
